About the Transplant News StaffJim Warren Jim has more than 30 years experience as a writer, editor and communicator in the transplant field. He has been involved as a communicator in the transplant field since 1976 when he became public relations director of the National Kidney Foundation, a position he held for 11 years. In 1990 he founded Transplant News, the only independent newsletter covering the entire transplant field worldwide for the past 16 years. He has a MS in Journalism from Syracuse University. Karen Blum Karen has more than 12 years experience in health care communications, including writing for newspapers, magazines and Web sites. Prior to starting her freelance career, served as assistant director of media relations for Johns Hopkins Medicine where she often wrote about transplantation. She has a MS in Journalism from Northwestern University. |
